The participants of the 6th stage of “Ari Tun-2014” homeland recognition program of the RA Ministry of Diaspora, launched on August 4, have already visited the historical-cultural monuments and visitor attractions of Armenia. The next destination was theMonastery of Geghard visited by our compatriots from 15 countriesof the world on August 6.
As previously notified, Islamized Armenians from Tigranakert, renamed Diyarbakir, also participate in the 6th stage of the program. Their visit to Armenia, as stated by the RA Deputy Minister of Diaspora Serzh Srapionyan, is the most precise and straightest way to the recognizion of the Armenian reality.
Stayingin the Western Armenian, the Armenians having a narrow escape from the Armenian Genocide, have lost their first names and last names, and the religion, and now their children try to return to their own roots and restore their national identity.
It would be hard to describe their enthusiasm, when on the way to the Monastery of Geghard the players on the road played Armenian dance music. Without hesitation, the participants from Tigranakert made up a circle and Armenia Kochari resounded. Their eyes were shining with admiration, excitement and enthusiasm.
The participants extend their gratitude to the RA Ministry of Diaspora for affording them such opportunity.
