Georgian-Armenian youth participated in the RA Ministry of Diaspora’s “Ari Tun” Program

The Department of Youth Affairs of the Georgian-Armenian Diocese (Director: Valery Badalyan) actively participated in the “Ari Tun” Program organized by the RA Ministry of Diaspora for Diaspora Armenian youth’s homeland recognition. Fifty five young Armenians, including 15 from Marneul and 40 from Tbilisi, participated in three stages of the program. As a result of timely and good organization, the groups representing the Georgian-Armenian Diocese stood out with their discipline, knowledge of national culture and exemplary behavior. It should be mentioned that the participants took part in the stages of the program in the presence and under the direct supervision of the head of the department.

During the two-week stays, the Georgian-Armenian youth between the ages of 13 and 18 were hosted by Armenian families and took part in the camping event in Tsakhkadzor.

The organizers of the program praised leaders of the groups from Tbilisi, including Suren Abrahamyan and Ruben Petrosyan for their high sense of responsibility and the members’ exemplary behavior. In the second stage, the group from Tbilisi participated in the athletic competitions, won first place in the volleyball tournament and received a special certificate.

During the “Ari Tun” Program, the Georgian-Armenian youth became more familiar with the history, culture, social life, spiritual and family traditions of Armenia, made new friends and established contacts.

The Georgian-Armenian youth returned to Georgia with great memories of their days spent in Armenia.
