Concert dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Los Angeles ₺Zvartnots″ Dance Ensemble  (USA) will be held at the National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet, within the framework of “My Armenia″ Pan-Armenian Festival, at 19:00,  July 27.

The Ensemble (Artistic Directors Vardan and ArminaAghajanyans) will present newly staged folk dances to the Yerevan audience.

“Zvartnots” Ensemble was founded in 1989 by  VardanAghajanyan. The Ensemble gained its pan-national love and popularity due to preservation and performing of ancient dances of the Armenian nation. The first concert was held in Glendale, on March 17, 1991.

Following theroots of the Armenian folk dance art over many years, the Ensemble presents, in its concert programs, dances of ritual, labor, lyric, military, joke and other nature.

The Ensemble participated in “One nation, one culture” Pan-Armenian Festival and has visited Armenia, performed in Yerevan, Spitak, Charentsavan, Hrazdan, Abovyan, Gyumri, Vanadzor and Armavir.

“Zvartnots” Dance Ensemble has presented the Armenian art of dancing in San-Francisco, Fresno, San Diego, Detroit and Las Vegas; it participated in the International Dance Festivalheld in Malta and achieved the first place gold medal. In Montreal, it participated in the Cultural Festival organized by the Canadian Armenians’ Community. The Ensemble had solo concerts also in New Mexico, Arizona, Sidney (Australia), Mexico.
