“Diaspora Summer School-2014”. This time Tigran Nersissyan was the guest of Diaspora Armenian teachers

“Diaspora Summer School-2014” program of the RA Ministry of Diaspora is underway. To make the day of the participants more interesting, in addition to the training courses, various cultural events, meetings with public and cultural figures are being organized.

This time Honored Artist Tigran Nersissyan was the guest of the Diaspora Armenian teachers, the participants of the training courses for the Diaspora teachers. On July 23, the meeting with the famous and beloved actor was organized at Primary School No. 168 after Vazgen I.

Before the actor’s arrival, accompanied by the Deputy Director of the School Alla Margaryan, the Diaspora Armenian teachers had a short tour in the nice and well-maintained school, got familiar with the school facilities. And, thereafter, in the school hall they met Tigran Nersissyan with applause.  Head of the Division for Scientific and Educational Programs of the Department of Panarmenian Programs Sirvard Hambaryan thanked the actor for finding time for this meeting with the Diaspora Armenian teachers. Following a short presentation on the theatrical background of the actor, Mrs. Hambaryan gave the floor to the popular actor.

After greeting the audience, Tigran Nersissyan told that it was a pleasure for him to have such meetings with his compatriots.  He stated that our compatriots residing in Diaspora are more attentive to the events taking place in Armenia and the artists.

Talking about his life, family, his ancestors migrated from Mush, Tigran Nersissyan suggested to continue the meeting in the format of conversation. He told about his memories of the famous Armenian actors, recalled some small episodes from the meetings with them. He talked about his first theatrical experience, the roles played by him in the theatre and movies, and about all the people that have influenced and helped him to become an actor, and shaped him as an individual. All the stories and memories were, indeed, evolved around his father, the famous actor Babken Nersissyan.

The stories of the famous actor were embellished by the questions and memories of the Diaspora teachers, for whom this heart-to-heart meeting would become a nice and pleasant memory from the days spent in Summer School.
