Inspired by their successful performances, the members of Moscow’s Hayasa Dance Ensemble, which participated in the Days of Armenian Dance Program of the “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival organized by the RA Ministry of Diaspora, decided to make a pilgrimage to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and receive a blessing from the Catholicos of All Armenians, reports “Hayern Aysor”’s correspondent. Let us remind that this ensemble is under the patronage of the Diocese of the Armenian Holy Apostolic Church of Nor Nakhichevan and Russia.
The members made their pilgrimage to the Mother See under the leadership of Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Nor Nakhichevan and Russia, Archbishop Yezras Nersisyan, participated in the Divine and eternal Liturgy and lit candles as a sign of gratitude for having participated in the “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival and having spent a good time in Armenia. Afterwards, everyone waited impatiently for the meeting with the Supreme Patriarch.
His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians received the members of the dance ensemble with open arms, gave his blessing and said the following in his blessing and welcoming remarks: “Dear Armenians, I’m certain that you captured the hearts of everyone with your beautiful dances. I thank His Holiness Yezras who makes efforts to consolidate you around the Church and the Homeland every day. I’m also certain that you present Armenian culture with great enthusiasm since that helps you make your contribution to our homeland and the people. I wish you succeed and achieve greater heights. God bless you!”
After the meeting with the Supreme Patriarch, the members of Hayasa Dance Ensemble toured the Mother See, learned about the history and significance of the structures located at the Mother See and took photos with each other with the accompaniment of Archbishop Yezras Nersisyan.
