Final Armenian language lesson for participants of the 5th stage of “Ari Tun” Program at Yeghishe Charents School
“Oh! Armenian people, your only salvation lies in your collective force”-this call for unity became a message for the participants of the 5th stage of the “Ari Tun” Program.
The five-day Armenian language courses at Yeghishe Charents School became a strong pillar for the young Diaspora Armenians, most of whom left the homeland with the determination to improve their knowledge of Armenian and settle in the Homeland in the future. The teachers and students, who had already established close ties, bid each other farewell with songs, dances and the influential words of great Armenians.
The children and youth also visited the school’s Yeghishe Charents Reading Hall where they were introduced to Charents’s poems and family photos. They also bid farewell to the school named after Charents where the school’s director, Mrs. Anahit Khechumyan and Mrs. Shoghik Pahlevanyan helped the young Diaspora Armenians discover the genius of Charents.
All the groups made progress and achievements thanks to the experience, creative approaches and methodologies of the educators, including Shoghik Pahlevanyan, Gaiane Barseghyan, Aida Ohanyan, Sarah Shahinyan, Makruhi Gevorgyan, Narine Gevorgyan, Lusine Hayriyan and Gaiane Babloyan.
Unfortunately, five days were not enough for the young Diaspora Armenians to improve their knowledge of Armenian. In their speeches, the young Armenians glorified the Armenian language, faith and the homeland.
They bid each other farewell with a small event and expressed certainty that yes, we Armenians are stand strong and proud on our land, in our homeland.
Head of the Division for Scientific and Educational Programs of the Department of All-Armenian Programs at the RA Ministry of Diaspora Sirvard Hambaryan bid all the participants farewell with a short speech and her kind wishes.
