Farewell bonfire for first stage of “Ari Tun” Program was lit

RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan participated in the solemn farewell ceremony around a bonfire in Tsakhkadzor, which marked the end of the first stage of the “Ari Tun” Program for young Diaspora Armenians’ homeland recognition.

In her welcome speech, the minister said she was pleased with the fact that during their 9-day stay in the Homeland, the young Diaspora Armenians were already speaking Armenian well, had great emotions and were inspired by the national values, including Armenian history, culture, song and dance. “This will definitely make the young Diaspora Armenians want to visit Armenia through the “Ari Tun” Program and help the homeland flourish and become stronger.”

One could feel the spirit of the nation at the “Ari Tun” Camp in Tsakhkadzor until late at night. The children performed the Armenian songs and dances and the poems that they had learned during the program, and Armenian stars, honored artists of the Republic of Armenia Shushan Petrosyan, Andre, singer Hasmik Karapetyan and reciter, honored artist of the Republic of Armenia Silva Yuzbashyan surprised the participants with their performances.

During their 9-day stay, the participants of the program were familiarized with the historic and cultural sites worth seeing in Armenia, had meetings with state, public and cultural figures and took part in courses on native studies. The participants spent their last five days at the “Ari Tun” Camp in Tsakhkadzor.

Let us remind that in this stage there were nearly 105 participants from 5 countries around the world.
