Editor of “Hayern Aysor” online newspaper visits Marmara newspaper’s editorial office

On Thursday morning, more than 60 members of the choir led by Maestro Ohannes Chekidjian arrived in Istanbul to give a concert. On this occasion, we hosted guests at our editorial office yesterday.

Yesterday we hosted editor of the “Hayern Aysor” online newspaper of the RA Ministry of Diaspora, member of Ohannes Chekidjian’s State Academic Choir Hayk Karapetyan, who was accompanied by Henri Hovhannisyan, who has been a member of the choir since the 1970s.

It’s always a pleasure to converse with artists. Our guests’ desire was to visit our editorial office during their short visit to Istanbul, meet with our editor-in-chief and the staff again and reestablish their contacts.

They provided us with information about the concert that was held.

We had a longer conversation with Hayk Karapetyan, who wanted to record an extensive interview with Marmara’s Editor-in-Chief, Robert Haddejian. He had interesting and comprehensive questions, starting from the first days of Marmara and ending with the current activities, as well as the editor-in-chief’s achievements in media and literature, Turkish-Armenian relations, the current state of Istanbul-Armenian literature and Haddejian’s views on the activities of the RA Ministry of Diaspora.

It was a pleasure for us to see how our guest, who knew about the history of our culture and the church, admired the late Patriarch Shnorhk. It turned out that he had broadcast programs about the late patriarch during his years at the Public Radio of Armenia.

Unquestionably, the “Hayern Aysor” online newspaper of the Ministry of Diaspora is doing a great job to build bridges between the Diaspora and the Ministry of Diaspora, and we commend Hayk Karapetyan for his fruitful efforts.
