Teryan Cultural Center held event called “Art Through the Eyes of Children” for Syrian-Armenian children
On June 1, Teryan Cultural Center hosted 40 Syrian-Armenian children on the occasion of International Children’s Defense Day. On that day, the children had the chance to listen to musical performances by a classical music quartet, national music performed with folk instruments and view national dances.
The Center’s experts showed a collection of national costumes representing different regions of historic Armenia with the purpose of introducing the children to all branches of decorative and applied art and sparking interest in them. With that purpose, the Center’s experts also hosted master classes. The event ended with a performance by the “Ayrogi” Shades Theater.
The mission of Teryan Cultural Center is to raise and educate the new generation with national and cultural values, preserve the national culture and transmit it to the future generations through that.
