5 more Armenians injured in Aleppo

Armenians have been injured due to bombings in the Armenian-populated New Village district of Aleppo on June 1-3, reports the news office in Aleppo to “ArmenPress”. The names of the injured are Maria Khacherian-Chilingirian, Levon Cherchian, Tali Minassian, Ani Mahserjian and Hovsep Demirjian.

Fortunately, they’re not in a troubling condition. On June 5, 2 missiles were droped in New Village, but fortunately, they didn’t explode.

Starting in early June, the situation has worsened in Aleppo and particularly in the Armenian New Village district. The terrorist groups, most of which are radical Turkish or pro-Turkish terrorist groups have dropped different types of missiles. The missiles dropped in the Armenian New Village district have taken lives and have caused severe damage. Most families have left their homes in New Village, and hundreds of homes are in need of renovation. The once Armenian-populated New Village district is a disaster zone, deserted and in ruins.

A call has been made to all Armenians to do everything possible to help put an end to the inhumane attacks and ensure the safety of the devastated people.

Press speaker of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tigran Balayan has commented on the situation created in Aleppo recently. “We strictly condemn the recent bombings in Aleppo and particularly the Armenian-populated New Village district that have taken the lives of people and have caused damages. We are certain that the major precondition for progress in the solution of the Syrian crisis is to stop the violence immediately.”
