On May 30, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received Chairman of AGBU Egypt Regional Committee Berge Terzian.
Berge Terzian was in Armenia to participate in the May 26 reunion meeting held in Yerevan with representatives of the regional committees coordinating the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues on the international recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide, the elimination of consequences, the claims, as well as the events to be held in Armenian communities of the Diaspora ahead of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
The sides also touched upon issues related to preservation of the Armenian identity, particularly teaching, preservation and dissemination of Western Armenian.
