RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received Prelate of the Armenian Diocese of Tehran of the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia, Father, Archbishop Sepuh Sarkisian.

During the meeting, Hranush Hakobyan praised the role of the Armenian Diocese of Tehran in the life of the Iranian-Armenian community and the efforts that the Diocese has made for preservation of the Armenian identity.

The minister also attached importance to the Prelate’s hierarchical mission for the preservation of spiritual values within the Armenian community and the strengthening of bonds with the homeland.

The sides discussed issues on the “Days of New Julfa” Program being carried out in Yerevan (21-24 May) by the Diocesan Council of the Armenian Diocese of Isfahan and Mesrop Mashtots Matenadaran of Yerevan, as well as issues concerning the Armenian community in Tehran.
