Students of “Hayordats Tun” School are physically strong and are armed with knowledge
“Armenia is surrounded by enemies, and so, every Armenian must be a soldier, a strong person because others accept strong people and a strong country,” President of the Armenian Kiokushin-Kankarate-Dohama Federation Andranik Hakobyan said after viewing the demonstrations of judo and karate at the “Hayordats Tun” School in Moscow.
Judo coach of “Hayordats Tun” Hayk Mughnetsyan trains students between the ages of 5 and 14. Unlike the judo club, 4 of the 11 members are female.
Hayk Mughnetsyan and the karate club’s coach Arsen Karapetyan are content with their students’ performances. They mentioned that even though the students have been training for a year, they have already achieved great success.
“I can say my students performed brilliantly. This past year, they not only fell in love with the sport, but also mastered some skills. They come to class with pleasure, and that’s one of the main preconditions for becoming a good athlete,” Hayk Mughnetsyan said in an interview.
“We started trainings with two students a year ago. Now, we have 11 students between the ages of 6 and 12. Trainings are held every Sunday from 10:30 to 12:00. Admission is for those who haven’t reached the age of adulthood,” Arsen Karapetyan.
In the end, Andranik Hakobyan mentioned that sport not only helps a person stay in shape, but also makes him feel spiritually strong. In Japan, karate and judo form a part of education and discipline since the two sports teach a person how to live the right way.”
After the performances, Director of the “Hayordats Tun” School Hmayak Gevorgyan donated pens and badges with the logo of the school to the athletes and addressed them with the following: “It’s very nice to see that this school is also a place to get in shape, but we shouldn’t forget about education. Every student of the “Hayordats Tun” School must be physically strong and armed with knowledge and, most importantly, every student must never forget to have good knowledge of the Armenian language.”
