The state council of Buenos Aires has allocated an area to the Argentinean-Armenian community for the construction of an Armenian Genocide Museum, reports Deputy Secretary for Human Rights and Cultural Diversity of Buenos Aires Claudio Avruge.
The Turkish Mynet reports that during a fundraiser, Avruge recalled that the Parliament of Argentina and the Buenos Aires City Council have both recognized the Armenian Genocide.
An Armenian Genocide Museum will also be established in Uruguay. It’s likely that the opening of the museums in both countries will be on April 24, 2015.
