Armenian Genocide Commemoration ceremony in the Legislative Assembly of Alberta
As reported by the RA MFA press office to “Hayern Aysor”, an Armenian Genocide Commemoration ceremony was held at the Legislative Assembly of the Canadian state of Alberta in Edmonton for the first time ever on May 5th.
Among the participants of the ceremony were Prime Minister of the State of Alberta Dave Hancock, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta Jean Zvozdesky, leader of the State’s opposition Daniela Smith, as well as deputies and members of the local Armenian community.
Among the speakers at the event were several deputies, and the message of RA Ambassador to Canada Armen Yeganyan was read during the event.
The Legislative Assembly of Alberta will hold annual Armenian Genocide Commemoration ceremonies from now on.
