35-volume book “Armenians and Turks Throughout History” presented in Turkey

“Akunk” website reports that the Turkish Historiographical Society has published a 35-volume book entitled “The Armenians and the Turks Throughout History”, the first 10 volumes of which were presented recently. President of the Society Metin Hulaku mentioned that 350 academics have worked on the book. “The book is about the unity of the Turks and the Armenians. Going against our cultures is at the bottom of our lists. The Prime Minister’s statement was a statement that stirred emotions,” Hulaku mentioned.

The 35-volume book includes historians’ articles devoted to different topics, as well as the Turks’ interpretations of history with their falsifications.

The book presents the lifestyles of medieval Armenians, society, the Armenians in the center and in the provinces, the number of the population, churches, missionaries, the Armenians’ migration and the internationalization of the Armenian Cause.

“This book serves as an attempt to present the history of the Armenians and their current situation and when bilateral relations were established between the Turks and the Armenians. Overall, we have planned to publish 35 volumes. Six or seven volumes will be translated into English, as well as French, German and Russian,” Hulaku said, mentioning that the next 10 volumes would be published in October and the rest in January 2015. Hulaku also mentioned that they expected to see Armenian historians help edit the book, but there was no response from them.
