Meeting in Moscow to coordinate events dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide

On Apr. 8, the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the Russian Federation held a meeting with representatives of Moscow’s leading community organizations to organize and coordinate the events dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide next year.
Among the representatives were secretary of the committee of the Russian Federation in charge of coordinating the events dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide, President of the “Russian-Armenian Cooperation” NGO Yuri Navoyan, President of “Ararat” Cultural Association Emanuel Dolbakyan, newly appointed Vice-President of the Union of Armenians of Russia NGO Alexander Khachiyan and His Holiness Kirakos, who is the assistant to Primate of the Diocese of Nor Nakhichevan and Russia of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Yezras Nersisyan.
The committee discussed the events to be held by the RA Embassy and the community organizations this month as part of the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide. The representatives came to terms on the schedule of events and reached an agreement on the obligations. After the meeting, the sides approved a program of events for the month of April, which will be announced to the members of the committee of the Russian Federation coordinating the events to be held on the sidelines of the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide.
In the end, the sides agreed on holding another meeting to discuss the events to be held until the end of this year and in 2015.
