On Apr. 22, RA Acting Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received the athletic teams and coaches of Haigazian University of Lebanon led by Head of Haigazian University’s Students’ Office Razmik Gabrielian.

The men’s and women’s basketball, foosball and table tennis teams of Haigazian University are in Yerevan to compete with the teams from Yerevan State University and the Slavonic University from April 18^th to the 25^th.

Greeting the students, the acting minister attached importance to the preservation of the Armenian identity in the Diaspora through language, culture and religion and the need of a good education in the 21^st century and urged the youth to be professionals that are competitive and in demand. At the youth’s request, Hranush Hakobyan talked about the opportunities and perspectives of receiving a higher education in Armenia and answered their questions of concern.

In the end, the youth expressed gratitude for the reception at the RA Ministry of Diaspora.

In addition to the competitions, the students of Haigazian University will also visit sites worth seeing and will take part in the march to Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex.
