PROGRAM FOR SUPPORT TO SOLUTIONS TO KEY EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL ISSUES FACING AUSTRALIAN-ARMENIAN COMMUNITIES CONTINUES

Within the scope of the Program for Support to the Solution to Key Educational and Cultural Issues Facing Australian-Armenian Communities, the delegation of artists in Sydney was received by Prelate of the Armenian Diocese of Australia and New Zealand, Bishop Haykazun Najarian. The activities carried out by the RA Ministry of Diaspora and issues concerning Australian-Armenian communities were discussed during the meeting.

The artists performed during the meeting organized at Holy Resurrection Church.

The event began with welcoming remarks by the holy father, organizer of the Armenia-Diaspora partnership committee in Australia Hayk Lepejian and representative of the RA Ministry of Diaspora Greta Mnatsakanyan, after which RA Distinguished Artists Leyla Saribekyan and Arsen Grigoryan, singer Sona Shahgeldyan, composer Garik Saribekyan and pianist Tatevik Hayrumyan entertained the elder representatives of the community with their songs and musical performances.

The delegates also visited the Arshak and Sophie Galstaun School and Alexander School. The administrators of both schools organized tours, and the students gave a short concert. Afterwards, the singers inspired the children with their songs and the round-dance.

The meetings were held in a warm atmosphere.
