In defense of Syrian-Armenians and as a sign of protest against Turkey’s support to the attack on the Syrian city of Kessab, Iranian-Armenian youth held a protest in front of the office of Turkish Airlines in Isfahan at 11:00 on Apr. 13. The protest began with a speech by spiritual leader of Shahinshahr, Archimandrite Anania Gujanian and was followed by the reading of the demonstrators’ resolution in which they condemned the attack on Kessab, demanded that the UN and human rights defense organizations prevent Turkey’s support to such a crime and addressed the Iranian government with the request to use all diplomatic channels to reestablish peace in the region. The protesters visited Holy Savior Monastery, laid flowers near the Armenian Genocide Memorial and prayed for the souls of the martyrs to rest in peace.

The meeting was held at the initiative of the Diocesan Council of the Armenian Diocese of Isfahan and was organized by the “Ruben” Youth Union.
