“The entire Armenian population of Kessab has been evacuated. Thank God, at this moment, there are no Armenian victims. It’s an information war, and the pieces of news contradict each other. Russian marine ships are moving from Syria toward the Turkish-Syrian border, armed forces are accumulating in Kessab and clashes are taking place. It’s too early to give a correct evaluation of whether the government forces have managed to regain their positions or not,” said Editor-in-Chief of Aztag Daily Shahan Kantaharian to “Hayern Aysor” from Lebanon.
Kantaharian added that at the moment, the Armenian headquarters is organizing efforts to provide shelter and accessories to the Armenians in Latakia.
