Third congress of Armenians of Poland held in Warsaw

On May 19, the Central Agricultural Library of Warsaw hosted the third congress of the Armenians of Poland. The congress was organized by the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia, the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Poland and representative of the Armenian minority within the joint commission of the Government of the Republic of Poland and National and Ethnic Minorities Eduard Mier-Yendzheyovich.
As reported the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Hayern Aysor, the congress began with the Polish and Armenian national anthems, followed by the messages of President (marshalek) of the Senate of the Republic of Poland Stanislav Karchevsky and Minister of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia Mkhitar Hayrapetyan. Deputy of the Seym of the Republic of Poland, Head of the Poland-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group of the Parliament of Poland Tadeus Vozhniak spoke on behalf of President of the Seym of the Republic of Poland Marek Kukhchinsky.
Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Poland Edgar Ghazaryan and representative of the Armenian minority within the Joint Commission of the Government of the Republic of Poland and National and Ethnic Minorities Eduard Mier-Yendzheyovich gave their welcoming remarks during the opening ceremony. Ambassador Ghazaryan particularly touched upon the Armenia-Diaspora partnership, the participation of the Armenian community of Poland in the programs and projects of the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia, as well as coverage and dissemination of the Armenian Genocide and the Artsakh issue. Several panel discussions were held as part of the event.
During the congress, several members of the Armenian community of Poland were awarded medals and certificates of the Ministries of Diaspora, Education and Science and Culture of the Republic of Armenia.
The third congress of the Armenians of Poland also featured the presentation of the special issue of the prestigious ORER Armenian magazine of the Czech Republic devoted to the Armenian community of Poland.
