On January 26, the Large Hall of Moscow Cinema hosted the opening ceremony of the 11^th congress of the organization of the Social Democrat Hunchakian Party in Armenia. The congress is dedicated to the 130^th anniversary of the Social Democrat Hunchakian Party.

In the beginning, Minister of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia conveyed the message of President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on the occasion of the 130^th anniversary of the establishment of the SDHP, which particularly reads as follows: “Since its establishment, the Social Democrat Hunchakian Party (SDHP) has been one of the leading forces in the lives of Armenians. After all these years, the SDHP continues to stay true to its basic principles, that is, preservation of the Armenian identity and a fair solution to the Armenian Cause. Since independence, the SDHP has also been showing its participation in the growth and development of Armenian statehood.”
