Aztag Daily’s Special Edition dedicated to 100th anniversary of First Republic of Armenia to be presented in Yerevan as well

Lebanon’s Aztag Armenian Daily Newspaper has issued its Special Edition of the year 2018. The Special Edition features articles devoted to the major events of the past year and major topics devoted to the year 2018. Aztag’s Special Edition is the subsequent, already traditional publication dedicated to the New Year. The articles are historical, political, informational and analytical. The Special Edition obviously features the major events taking place in Armenia, Artsakh and abroad. The geography of the staff is also worth mentioning. The Special Edition features articles by authors from the Republic of Armenia, Artsakh, Lebanon and various countries of the Armenian Diaspora, and this makes the Edition become of pan-national significance,” Editor-in-Chief of Lebanon’s Aztag Armenian Daily Newspaper Shahan Kandaharian said in an interview with Hayern Aysor.

Aztag will be publishing another Special Edition soon. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the launch of the Artsakh Movement, Aztag will be issuing an edition along with Artsakh’s Aparaj newspaper. As Shahan Kandaharian stated in the interview, this is not the first initiative of its kind since there is already a precedent. “We have published a Special Edition with Yerkir Weekly, which was very well received in the Republic of Armenia and abroad. There have been occasions when we have published joint daily editions along with our partnering newspapers, including Ararat and Zartonk. I believe the 30th anniversary of the launch of the Artsakh Movement is of major importance and is closely related to the 100th anniversary of the First Republic of Armenia as a major guarantee for restoration of independence. Our discussions with Aparazh’s editor-in-chief led to the conception of this idea. Various circles of Artsakh, Lebanon and the Diaspora have shown that they are excited about not only collaborating, but also having copies of the volume to be issued,” Shahan Kandaharian said and added that the Special Edition will feature memoirs, interviews, analyses and articles devoted to ideologies.

The 100th anniversary of the First Republic of Armenia is also in Aztag’s focus.

Throughout the year, Aztag usually issues two Special Editions devoted to the New Year and April 24th. This year, the April 24th Special Edition will feature a Supplement since Aztag is preparing to publish a newspaper in the form of a volume devoted to the 103rd anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

We are glad to inform that Aztag will issue a Special Edition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Republic of Armenia along with the History Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia. The Special Edition will feature historical, political, archival, legal and contractual studies, as well as ideological articles devoted to the symbol of statehood today. We plan on presenting the Special Edition in not only Lebanon, but also Yerevan. We will propose to have the presentation in Armenia be organized by the Ministry of Diaspora and under the sponsorship of Minister Hranush Hakobyan,” Shahan Kandaharian said.
