RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan receives Support to Javakhk Foundation delegation
RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received founder of the Support to Javakhk Foundation and President of the Board of Trustees Sos Sahakyan, Director of the Foundation Armen Mkoyan and Merited Architect of the Republic of Armenia Hovhannes Mutafyan.
Greeting the guests, the Minister highly appreciated the multi-polar activities that the Support to Javakhk Foundation carries out for the enhancement of the public life of the Armenians of Javakhk and Kvemo-Kartli in different spheres and the strengthening of cooperation between Georgia and Armenia.
“The Armenian community of Javakhk is one of the most organized, unified and exemplary Armenian communities, which closely collaborates with the Ministry of Diaspora and actively participates in all of the Ministry’s programs and events. I think the establishment of the Support to Javakhk Foundation and the engagement of the ��?cream’ of the Armenians of Javakhk were a turning point and inspiring. The fact that the Foundation’s mission statement is to support multi-member families makes your activities more in demand and important, and your activities for protection of Armenian historic and cultural monuments, development of national traditions and dissemination of Armenian culture simply deserve respect and admiration.”
Expressing gratitude for the high appreciation and support, in the context of regional conflicts and geopolitical developments, Sos Sahakyan attached importance to consolidation around the Foundation and voiced hope that the Armenian Diaspora would also extend a helping hand to solve the challenges facing the Armenians of Javakhk.
President of the Board of Trustees of the Support to Javakhk Foundation and businessman Sos Sahakyan was awarded the Boghos Noubar Medal of the RA Ministry of Diaspora for carrying out charities and providing community service in Armenia and Javakhk, for providing special services for preservation of the Armenian identity and for making great contributions to the solutions to educational and cultural issues.
The Minister also attached importance to the close collaboration of artists and scholars with the Foundation. Merited Architect of the Republic of Armenia Hovhannes Mutafyan was awarded the Arshile Gorky Medal of the RA Ministry of Diaspora for his great contributions to the development and dissemination of Armenian architecture in the Diaspora and for designing the House-Museum of Jivani in the Kartsakh village of Javakhk.
Minister Hranush Hakobyan wished the guests a Happy New Year and Merry Christmas and wished them peace, strength and vigor to implement new pro-national programs and initiatives.
