Delegation of France’s Ron Alp regional council and the Association of Rural Communities visits the Ministry of Diaspora

On November 13, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received the delegation of the regional council of France’s Ron Alp region and the Association of Rural Communities. Among the delegates were President of the Union of Communities of Armenia and head of the delegations of Armenia to the Congress of the Council of Europe and the EU EaP CORLEAP Emin Eritsian; member of the Ron Alp regional council and vice-chairman of the council Eduard Simonian; Head of the Department for Europe and International Relations of the regional council of Ron Alp Rachel Haab and Armenia’s representative in the Ron Alp region Anahit Davtyan.

The minister greeted the guests and attached importance to regional cooperation, especially decentralized partnership as one of the links of the Armenian-French friendship. “We are grateful for the fact that the French government creates all the opportunities for Armenians to not only live and grow, but also show active participation in the country’s political, economic, social and cultural life,” the minister particularly mentioned.

Member of the regional council of Ron Alp and vice-chairman of the council Eduard Simonian expressed gratitude for the cordial reception. He mentioned that the strengthening of economic and cultural ties and the exchange of skills and experiences are important and touched upon the agreement signed with the Association of Communities of Armenia.

The sides discussed the frameworks for future cooperation, support to the “Ari Tun” Program and the “Diaspora” Summer School Program of the RA Ministry of Diaspora and other joint events to be implemented in the future.
