Author of Armenian Genocide resolution in Brazilian Senate visits Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex

Minister of Foreign Relations of the Federal Republic of Brazil Aloysio Nunes Ferreira Filho visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex along with Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Davit Ohanyan and Acting Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Gevorg Vardanyan.

As reported the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute to Hayern Aysor, Minister of Foreign Relations of Brazil Aloysio Nunes Ferreira Filho laid a wreath near the memorial and, along with the members of the Brazilian delegation, laid flowers near the eternal flame and respected the memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide with a moment of silence. Gevorg Vardanyan presented the history of construction of the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex to the Minister of Foreign Relations of Brazil.

The Minister of Foreign Relations also visited the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute where he was introduced to documents attesting the Armenian Genocide, viewed the samples and left a note in the Book of Honorary Guests.

The Minister also toured the Remembrance Garden where he planted a silvery fir tree.

On March 27, 2015, Aloysio Nunes Ferreira Filho undertook the initiative of adopting a resolution on Armenian Genocide recognition and condemnation as a member of the Senate of Brazil.
