Vahe and Kohar Tutunjian present integrated plan for “New Aleppo” district at the RA Ministry of Diaspora
On December 11, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan and Mayor of Ashtarak Armen Antonyan held a meeting with Syrian-Armenians to present the integrated plan for the “New Aleppo” district and the architectural solutions.
The creators of the plan are co-chairs of the Pan-Armenian Association of Architects Vahe and Kohar Tutunjian, who presented the architectural solutions of the plan for the “New Aleppo” district that is modern and corresponds to international standards. The plan is to build 485 apartments.
Among the participants of the meeting were Syrian-Armenians who have expressed the desire and have registered to obtain homes in the district.
Greeting the gathered, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan mentioned: “To help the Syrian-Armenians settle and obtain homes in the homeland, the issues related to land provision in Ashtarak city have been solved by the assignment of the RA President, and now, Mr. and Mrs. Tutunjian are presenting the integrated plan for construction.”
Vahe Tutunjian presented the frontal and lateral fronts of the main plan for construction of the “New Aleppo” district and the plans for the apartments. It is foreseen to build stores, a pharmacy, a café, garages, a multifunctional club, a swimming pool and more.
Representatives of the RA Central Bank, Converse and ArmBusiness Banks presented the terms and conditions for mortgage loans offered to Syrian-Armenians and the Loans for Young Families Program. They also answered the Syrian-Armenians’ questions of concern.
Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan urged Armenians in Armenia and the Diaspora to help build the district.
Armenian American lawyer Garo Karamian suggested helping the Syrian-Armenians have a place to call home in the homeland.
The meeting ended with a discussion on the construction of the “New Aleppo” district.
