RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan participates in trilateral meeting in Cyprus

On October 20, the Presidential Residence of Cyprus hosted a trilateral meeting with RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, Presidential Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Overseas Cypriots Fotis Fotiou and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece Terens- Nikolaos Quick.

During the meeting, the sides expressed willingness to foster the revitalization of the relations among the Armenian, Cypriot and Greek diasporas and strengthen the cooperation of those diasporas, which may, if necessary, take joint actions and assist each other in the solutions to various issues.

Hranush Hakobyan stated that the potential of the diasporas of the three countries can be used more effectively through cooperation.

The sides agreed to help promote the projects and initiatives for the exchange of information of academic institutes, cultural centers, media groups and scientific centers with the aim to work more actively to solve Diaspora-related issues.

The meeting was followed by a press conference during which RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, Presidential Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Overseas Cypriots Fotis Fotiou and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece Terens-Nikolaos Quick presented the topics that had been discussed.
