On July 31, the RA Ministry of Diaspora hosted the solemn opening ceremony of the 7th stage of the 2017 “Ari Tun” Program for young Diaspora Armenians’ homeland recognition.

Among the participants of the 7th stage are 72 young Armenians from 13 countries around the world, including the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Lebanon, Kuwait, the USA, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland and Hungary.

RA Deputy Minister of Diaspora Serzh Srapionyan conveyed the welcoming remarks of Minister Hranush Hakobyan and particularly stated the following “Dear boys and girls, welcome to Armenia, welcome to the Homeland, welcome home. I am glad that you will be enjoying your stay in the Homeland, will be sightseeing and, most importantly, will be participating in the accelerated Armenian language course through the “Ari Tun” Program. You must learn and speak Armenian so that you preserve your language and identity. Your home is Armenia, and you will return to the Homeland sooner or later. Welcome.”

The participants of the seventh stage expressed gratitude to the Minister of Diaspora and the organizers of the Program for providing them with the wonderful opportunity to be in the Homeland, learn Armenian and interact with their peers. The young Diaspora Armenians recited poems, sang songs and performed an Armenian round-dance.
