On July 20, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received Chairman of Homenetmen Central Committee Karnig Meguerditchian and member of the Central Committee, representative of the Scouts Unit Vatche Najarian.

The Minister attached importance to the pan-Armenian organization’s pro-national activities, expressed satisfaction with the fact that the 10^th Homenetmen Games are going to be held in the Homeland and stated that the organizing of such a large-scale event is uniquely symbolic since it will be held ahead of the 2,800^th anniversary of the foundation of Yerevan and the 100^th anniversary of the First Republic of Armenia and Homenetmen.

Expressing gratitude for the cordial reception, Karnig Meguerditchian stated that the organization has consolidated young Armenians around Armenia and carries out activities in the Homeland even today. Homenetmen is organizing the Homenetmen Pan-Armenian Games in Armenia for the third time and will gather 1,250 young Armenians from 19 countries around the world.

The sides discussed the organizing of the Games and touched upon the development and strengthening of the cooperation between the RA Ministry of Diaspora and Homenetmen, the participation of Homenetmen in the programs of the Ministry, particularly the 6^th Armenia-Diaspora Pan-Armenian Conference to be held in September 2017, as well as the preparations for the events dedicated to the 100^th anniversary of the establishment of Homenetmen in 2018.
