Armenian pupils win at International Olympiad for Pupils in Chemistry

Armenia got off to a good start at the International Olympiad for Pupils in Chemistry for the 2016-17 Academic Year, scoring two bronze medals and one certificate of appreciation. The Olympiad was held from July 6 to 15 in the Thai city of Nakhom-Patom.

As reported the press service of the RA Ministry of Education and Science to Hayern Aysor, medals were granted to 12th graders of the special school for advanced teaching of mathematics and natural sciences in Vanadzor, Hamlet Khachatryan and Spartak Saghyan, while 12th grader of High School #184 of Yerevan Susanna Kirakosyan received a certificate of appreciation. The Armenian team was led by representatives of Yerevan State Medical University Andranik Davinyan and Hrachya Khachatryan, reported the Department of Public Relations and Information of the RA Ministry of Education and Science.

Let us mention that this international Olympiad for chemistry students was the first Olympiad of this academic year. The next Olympiad will be in Math and will be held from July 12 to 23 in Rio de Janeiro.
