Canadian government offered to establish embassy in Yerevan

The Canadian government has been offered to establish a diplomatic representation in Yerevan.
The statement was adopted during the March 8 session of the Canada-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group held in Ottawa.
Members of the Armenian National Committee of Canada were also attending the session chaired by Co-Chair of the Canada-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group Arnold Chan, reported Artsakhpress.am.
The participants of the session discussed a number of issues related to Armenian-Canadian relations and touched upon the upcoming nation-wide elections in Armenia, the strengthening of economic ties between the two countries and other topics of mutual importance.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Canada Armen Yeganyan, Armenia’s Consul General Sasun Hovhannisyan and Chairman of the Armenian National Committee of Canada Shahen Mirakian had the opportunity to present their issues and problems regarding the Armenian community of Canada.
The Canada-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group reaffirmed the importance of further deepening of the bilateral relations and discussed various initiatives targeted at further development of the bilateral relations.
