Aznavour: “Armenians continue to be grateful to the countries that received them after the Genocide”

Armenians continue to be grateful to the countries that received them after the Armenian Genocide of 1915. This is what world famous singer Charles Aznavour said, reported La Tercera.

The source reports that the singer will be giving a concert in Santiago on 11 March.

“When the Armenians were forced to abandon their homes in consequence of the Genocide of 1915, various countries provided them with shelter. We would work at ease, without sparing any effort and became integrated into the respective societies because we are a very talented nation,” Aznavour said, reported Panorama.am.

According to Aznavour, in the early 20th century, Armenians moved to various countries, aspired for success and achieved great heights in almost all fields.
