Event held at “Armat” (Root) Armenian School
There are numerous cultural groups and an Armenian school for additional education called “Armat” (Root) operating at the Vardanyan Educational and Cultural Center of the Armenian Diocese in Southern Russia. The Narek Armenian Folk Dance Ensemble, Kristina Khalatova’s Pop-Jazz Song Studio, Haik media portal, Vakhtangov Theater Studio and Komitas Children’s Choir were established two years ago and have been growing successfully ever since.
As reported Yerazik Harutyunyan to Hayern Aysor, the daily activities become more interesting and multi-layered when they are sometimes interrupted with festive activities. Throughout the entire school year, the teachers and organizers of Vardanyan Center work with devotion and provide their students with a vast amount of knowledge and skills that they won’t gain or acquire at any other school, and when the students present their knowledge and skills to their parents and friends of the school, the teachers and organizers get more emotional than the students, feel responsible and want to express themselves.
The event was held in a cordial and binding atmosphere. The ten best students were awarded in seven interesting categories. They received certificates of “Armat” Armenian School and chocolates with special logo. The awards were granted to the best family and parent, the most punctual pupil and student and the most gifted teacher and director…
There were so many friends and supporters of the Center that the stage had turned into a real parade on stage. All this was interrupted with the wonderful numbers of various classes. The audience was charmed by the performances of the plays “End of Evil” and “Art Has a Message” and the songs performed by Kristina Khalatova Studio and Komitas Choir, the dances of Narek Armenian Dance Ensemble and the reciting of the Mets Mher Class and the videos that were shown from time to time.
The event was a success, all those who received and didn’t receive awards congratulated each other, and all the students and parents were happy and left with the expectation for more successes.
