First of youth lectures series held under Archbishop Babken Charian’s sponsorship

On Friday, January 20, 2016, the Montreal (Noranor)-Christian Education Council held the first of the Prelacy’s series of lectures for young Armenians, and the first lecture was by head of the Council, Rev. Fr. Archimandrite Vartan Tashjian. The event was sponsored by His Grace, Fr. Archbishop Babken Charian, reported the Facebook page of the Prelacy of the Armenian Diocese of Canada.

The first topic of the series of lectures was “Youth, the Armenian Church and the Daily Changes in Social Life”. Presenting the topic, Fr. Vartan talked about the Bible, why it is important for families to read the Bible, what keeps us from going to church, what the advantages and disadvantages in Armenian society are, what the link between youth, family and the church is, as well as several other issues.

The young participants listened to His Holiness with interest. After the lecture, the participants held a group discussion, exchanged their views and made practical and interesting suggestions.

The lecture ended with an exciting meeting.

The next lecture will be held on February 3 (19:30) in the hall of the Prelacy.
