On 12 January 2017, an exhibition dedicated to the Armenian Genocide was opened in the Museum for Islamic Art in Jerusalem. The exhibition had the title “The Sick Man of Europe: The Composer”.
During the exhibition a film dedicated to the life of Komitas was screened which was prepared by an Israeli artist Dor Guez.
Before the opening of the exhibition the choir of the Armenian Seminary performed several hymns from Komitas. Thereafter the audience was addressed by Dor Geuz and the director of the museum.
