On January 10, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received pastor of the Armenian community of Baden-Württemberg, Fr. Priest Tiratur Sardaryan.
The Minister highly appreciated the Holy Father’s pro-national activities, emphasizing the fact that the Armenian Apostolic Church is one of the key factors for preservation of the Armenian identity in the Diaspora.
Fr. Tiratur presented the main goal of his mission in Armenia, that is, to provide assistance to socially disadvantaged families of Artsakh on the occasion of the New Year and Christmas.
“Christmas is a celebration of love and warmth. We must allow Baby Jesus to be born within us. If not, the holiday will be meaningless,” the priest said.
The Holy Father talked about the 26 tons of assistance that he had provided to the socially disadvantaged families of Artsakh in the form of food and clothes and added that the assistance would be ongoing.
At the end of the meeting, Fr. Priest Tiratur Sardaryan and the Minister of Diaspora discussed issues related to future cooperation.
RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan voiced hope that, from now on, they would work more closely in order to strengthen the Armenia-Diaspora-Artsakh relations.
