New Year’s congratulatory remarks addressed to children of officers killed during Four-Day Artsakh War
On the occasion of the New Year and Armenian Christmas, the “Mothers of Officers” non-governmental organization held a program called “New Year’s Letter to the Son of a Hero” as a surprise for the children of officers who fell during the Four-Day Artsakh War in April of last year. The letters of the children of the deceased officers were posted on Facebook along with the children’s wishes addressed to Santa Claus.
Head of the organization Hripsime Basentsyan stated that Armenian singers and TV personalities have joined the beautiful program. Among them are singer Andre, Arsen Grigoryan, Garik Papoyan, Varduhi Alexanyan from the USA, dancer Marine Martirosyan from Moscow, as well as cultural figures from Tehran and Lebanon. Overall, there were 33 letters. The children were more interested in who would congratulate them, not the gifts. “The program will be ongoing. There were also donations that helped us take trips to military units and the military positions where there are cross-stones erected in memory of the heroes who were killed during the Four-Day Artsakh War, including Robert Abajyan, Armenak Urfanyan and Kyaram Sloyan. I thank all those who believed in us and supported us,” the head of the organization mentioned, according to aparaj.am. The event was held in the office of ARS Stepanakert.
