Armenia sees double growth of fruit and vegetable exports
As of November 14, Armenia has exported 133,427 tons of fresh fruits and vegetables. In the same period of the year 2015, Armenia had exported 68,002 tons of fresh fruits and vegetables.
The geography hasn’t changed much. Armenian fruits and vegetables have been exported to the Russian Federation, Georgia, Switzerland, Iraq, Belarus, the UAE and Kazakhstan. This is what Spokesman of the Ministry of Agriculture Ani Smbatyan told Panorma.am.
As of August 12, 2016, compared to the same period in 2015, the export of fresh fruits and vegetables exported to member states of the Eurasian Economic Union has grown by 90%. As of August 8, 2016, Armenia has exported 85,326 tons of fruits and vegetables, compared to 49,827 tons of fruits and vegetables exported in the same period of the year 2015.
