Armenia’s assistance distributed to Syrian-Armenian children

On November 7, the Emergency and Rehabilitation Unit of Aleppo distributed jackets to the children of all Armenian kindergartens of Aleppo and to the first, second and third graders of the Sahagian, Gulbenkian, Haigazian and Zavarian Schools of the National Unified Pre-School. The jackets were provided through the humanitarian assistance provided by the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

During a phone conversation with Hayern Aysor’s correspondent, press speaker of the Aleppo Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church and Member of the Parliament of Syria Zhirayr Reyisian informed that the children were happy and excited and expressed their gratitude for the assistance. The press speaker added that the remaining jackets would be distributed to the students in the higher grades soon.

Talking about the current state of affairs in Aleppo, Zhirayr Reyisian informed that Aleppo is in peace, there are no bombardments in Armenian-populated districts and that only living conditions are difficult.

In October, upon the assignment of President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, Armenia sent 40 tons of humanitarian assistance, of which 10 tons were envisaged for the people in Damascus and the coastal areas and 30 tons for Aleppo.

On October 7, the cargo reached Aleppo with the label “With Warm Wishes for Peace from Armenia to the Fraternal Nation of Syria”. The assistance was distributed by the Syrian-Armenian Emergency and Rehabilitation Unit.
