According to Hayern Aysor, RA Deputy Minister of Diaspora Serzh Srapionyan had a phone conversation with Member of the Parliament of the Syrian Arab Republic, representative of the Armenian community of Syria Zhirayr Reyisian to discuss the current state of affairs in Syria.

Serzh Srapionyan: Mr. Reyisian, Armenia is receiving news that Aleppo is in panic and that there is nobody to help transfer the people to Armenia. What is the situation in Aleppo at this moment?

Zhirayr Reyisian: Now it is calm. There is no panic.

Serzh Srapionyan: Are there clusters of people who want to come to Armenia, but have no funds?

Zhirayr Reyisian: There is no such thing. There might be moments when there might be people killed or wounded due to bombardments, but the Armenians of Aleppo have no problem with coming to Armenia.

Serzh Srapionyan: Are there any Armenians who would like to come to Armenia? Let them know that Armenia is ready to receive them.

Zhirayr Reyisian: If we receive applications, we will send them to the Consul General of the Republic of Armenia in Aleppo and let you know. There is no need to worry, but I ask you not to take news from different places for granted and only believe the news from official sources.
