Concert dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Armenia’s Independence held in Los Angeles

The events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Armenia’s Independence in Los Angeles continue. The series of events being held through the combined efforts of the Consulate General of the Republic of Armenia and the Iranian-Armenian Society of Los Angeles continued with a festive concert featuring world famous violinist Sergey Khachatryan, as reported the press service of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Hayern Aysor.

The talented violinist and the Belfry Symphony Orchestra led by conductor Michael Avetisyan performed the compositions of Aram Khachaturian (ballet suites and concerto for the violin) during the concert held at Ambassador Auditorium in Pasadena.

Among the attendees were Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the United States of America Grigor Hovhannisyan, members of Glendale City Council, artists, representatives of Armenian American community organizations and several music lovers.

In his speech addressed to the gathered, Deputy Consul of the Republic of Armenia in Los Angeles Valery Mkrtumyan, considering the performances of the works of the world famous Armenian composer Aram Khachaturian by famous Armenian violinist Sergey Khachatryan as symbolic, stated that such a concert serves as evidence of the Armenia-Diaspora relations that have always been reinforced throughout the past 25 years, a part of which is the cultural sector.

He also stated that the events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia would continue in Los Angeles in October.
