Event dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Armenia’s Independence held in Brussels
On September 28, the chamber of the Royal Academy of Belgium hosted a solemn reception dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia in Brussels. The event was organized by the Mission of the Republic of Armenia to the European Union, the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Belgium and the Representation of the Republic of Armenia to NATO, as reported the press service of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Hayern Aysor.
Among the participants were Members of the European Union and the European Commission, high-ranking Members of the Parliament of Belgium and the Government, the European External Action Service, high-ranking officials of the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and NATO, Ambassadors, representatives of diplomatic corps, artists and cultural figures, businesspeople, leaders of Armenian ecclesiastical and community structures and members of the Armenian community.
In his welcoming speech, Head of the Mission of the Republic of Armenia to the European Union, RA Ambassador to Belgium and Luxemburg Tatul Margaryan emphasized that, in spite of the current challenges and difficulties, Armenia has made great progress and achieved great successes as an independent and democratic country throughout the past 25 years of independence. The Ambassador touched upon the current and future steps aimed at strengthening statehood and talked about the dynamic development of Armenia-EU relations and the growing partnership between Belgium and Armenia.
