I believe one of the important achievements of the last 25 years is the doubtless advance in the art of painting. We can confidently state today that the Independent Republic of Armenia has a strong army of painters. I would like to thank the Union of Armenians of Russia and the World Armenian Congress for their active support in organizing this exposition. The Ministry continuously and actively cooperates with pan-Armenian structures and organizations for the sake of the preservation of our identity and the successful implementation of pan-Armenian projects. Jointly organized contests, exhibitions and award ceremonies entice and energize the Diaspora. All my best wishes to this beautiful exhibition.”

Thereafter the attendees walked around the first and second floors of the building of the Painters’ Union where more than 200 pieces of the union members are exposed.
