5TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE RA MINISTRY OF DIASPORA

Dear Mrs. Hranush Hakobyan,

I cordially congratulate you and your staff on the fifth anniversary of the RA Ministry of Diaspora. You have made a great contribution to the strengthening of Armenia-Diaspora relations, as well as the consolidation of all Armenians and their cooperation. In addition to working closely with the traditional Diaspora, you also establish contacts with newly established communities and contribute to their growth and development. You carry out several activities that help raise the professionalism of Armenian cultural centers, educational institutions, cultural groups and individual artists in the Diaspora.

Through your consistent efforts, you come up with new ideas and implement more programs aimed at helping keep Diaspora Armenians away from the great danger of assimilation.

Through the implementation of pan-Armenian educational programs aimed at preserving and teaching the Armenian language, you support the prosperity of Armenian daily and one-day schools abroad. You also hold Armenian Language Olympiads and training programs for Diaspora Armenian teachers, grant awards for Best Armenian Language Teacher, Best Armenian School of the Diaspora, Best Mass Media and Best Community, successfully implement the “Diaspora Summer School” Program, organize the “Homeland, This Is How I See You” and “Piece of the Homeland” contests that establish the connection between Armenian youth and Armenia.

Your programs help familiarize thousands of Diaspora Armenians with Armenia the homeland, help them grow up as patriots, expand their opportunities to get to know their national identity and roots, reinforce their spirits and help introduce them to Armenian national customs and traditions.

As a participant of several programs organized by the ministry, I would like to express my gratitude to you for the unforgettable days that I and many others have spent.

I fully hope that new programs will be implemented soon.

I wish you strength and endless vigor in your appreciated efforts.

With deep respect,

Karine Manukyan

Coordinator for non-Georgian language educational materials of the Department of National Educational Programs at the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia
