FM met with administration of YSU Faculty of International Relations

On October 15, RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandyan had a meeting with the administration of the Faculty of International Relations at Yerevan State University, including Dean Gegham Petrosyan and the heads of departments of the Faculty.

Greeting the guests, Minister Nalbandyan mentioned that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attaches great importance to the preparation of high-quality cadres and that, in that sense, the ongoing relations and cooperation between the ministry and the YSU Faculty of International Relations are very important.

Expressing gratitude for the reception, the dean of the YSU Faculty of International Relations mentioned that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the high-profile Faculty of Yerevan State University have seriously strengthened their cooperation over the past couple of years. According to Gegham Petrosyan, the minister’s lectures for first-year students have turned into a tradition. Petrosyan also underlined that the number of diplomats lecturing at the Faculty has sharply increased.

During the meeting, the sides mentioned with satisfaction that the alumni of the Faculty of International Relations make up the majority of the listeners of the Diplomatic School of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on different areas of Armenia’s foreign policy, and the minister presented Armenia’s views on processes taking place in the international arena and the problems. Minister Nalbandyan also presented Armenia’s and the international community’s efforts for the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement.

An agreement was reached on holding meetings on a regular basis, reports the RA MFA press office to “Hayern Aysor”.
