Armenian Artist Sevada Grigoryan’s solo exhibition entitled “To the Light” opened in Nanjing, China. It’s worth mentioning that Sevada has been living and working in China for over 2 years. The exhibition features Sevada’s paintings mainly from Chinese series which are quite different compared to the works done in Armenia. The Artist explains this as a result of his impressions from Chinese Culture and Art.

The exhibition attracted many Chinese as well as foreign Art lovers. Such powerful concepts as Family, Love and Peace play a significant role in Artist’s paintings. The exhibition also included Sevada’s graphic works on collaged book pages, aiming to bring back to life the culture of reading books.

Armenian folk music which was composed by Komitas Vardapet would play at the exhibition throughout its whole 3-month duration.
