Zefa-Fira Akian’s book presented at the Union of Writers of Armenia

On October 8, poets, translators, well-known intellectuals, as well as musicians and journalists attended the presentation of Diaspora Armenian children’s writer, composer, educator and puppet maker Zefa-Fira Akian’s book at the hall of the Union of Writers of Armenia. Writers Edward Militonyan and Artem Harutyunyan, musician, songwriter, director of Zatik children’s studio choir Lilit Hambardzumyan, philologist Hasmik Babayan, reciter Gayane Samvelyan, poet Hripsime expressed their admiration of congratulated the Armenian writer, who incessantly writes many poems, fairy tales and songs for children and adults in the native language abroad.

Zefa-Fira Akian was presented with the “Ambassador of the Native Language” Medal of the RA Ministry of Diaspora as a token of appreciation for her patriotic acts. The congratulatory message of the RA Minister of Diaspora was read and the “Ambassador of the Native Language” Medal was presented to the writer by Head of the Division for Cultural Programs of the Department of All-Armenian Programs Greta Mnatsakanyan.

The event included performances of songs composed by Zefa-Fira Akian by members of Zatik children’s choir, and host of the event Gayane Samvelyan recited several love poems by Akian.

The writer expressed her gratitude and assured that she can’t live without creating fairy tales where the good always wins.
