Hagop Andreasian: “The goal of the YRLP is to unite all young Armenians”

“The ideology of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party (Ramgavar) is to stand by the side of Armenia and the Armenian people because we view the Homeland as a shrine. We all need to centralize our efforts and make our contributions to the development of Armenia. I am certain that we will continue to move forward with the same spirit along with the newly elected members of the board led by chairman Sergio Nahabedian,” member of the Central Board of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party (Ramgavar) Hagop Andreasian said in an interview with Hayern Aysor, adding that the political party is carrying out the projects in Jerusalem with the Armenian Youth Association with the purpose of providing the young generation of Armenians of the Diaspora with an Armenian upbringing and keeping them aware of Armenian national values.

Both the political party and association have a total of 250 members. There are theater clubs and dance groups, and we carry out different events aimed at preserving the Armenian identity. To encourage the youth and convey the feeling of patriotism, the youth are regularly sent to Armenia to participate in the “Ari Tun” Program of the RA Ministry of Diaspora. They also visit Armenia through another program and work as volunteers.

The Armenian community of Jerusalem also supported Artsakh to get out of the difficult situation created as a result of the four-day war and coordinated the efforts with the unified committee. They organized fundraisers, held meetings and discussions and raised the youth’s awareness about Azerbaijan’s military actions.

Hagop Andreasian attached importance to the activities of the Youth Ramgavar Liberal Party (YRLP) and said the following: “The YRLP was created in order to unite all young Armenians. We all need to centralize our efforts and carry out activities with the YRLP. We are currently taking steps to coordinate the joint activities of the Armenian Youth Association and the YRLP. We have high hopes that the YRLP will bring many young Armenians to Armenia.”
